If winter glamping paired with highland cows and a bed-and-breakfast stay sounds like your thing, it might be time to visit The Taiga Animal Sanctuary in East Gwillimbury, less than an hour north of Toronto. Guests have access to the full 10-acre forest and all the friendly mini Highland cows who wander by to say hello. Jennifer McCabe, owner of The Taiga Animal Sanctuary and a Canadian Forces veteran, tells blogTO, "At The Taiga, guests experience quiet time in nature, connection with animals who were redeemed from neglect, and an overall peaceful environment." Rates for the B&B start at $150 per night, and guests can book their stay directly through The Taiga's official website. The Taiga Animal Sanctuary is located at 54 Bridle Path in Sharon, Ont.
