A prime piece of Toronto real estate that was most recently home to a swanky spa is about to be taken over by something decidedly less upscale: yet another Shake Shack location. Shake Shack has been spreading like a fungus across Toronto ever since the chain's first Canadian location landed with a major splash at Yonge and Dundas in the summer of 2024. Perhaps the new King West demographic will be more eager to spend their downtown dollars on crinkle-cut fries and frozen custards than mani-pedis. The opening date for Shake Shack's new King West location has yet to be announced, but statements from the chain have promised that it's coming in early 2026, which, believe it or not, is right around the corner. Shake Shack will be located at 556 King West.
