A massive safety risk has led Transport Canada to announce that thousands of Ford vehicles are part of a major recall across the country. Transport Canada stated on Dec. 1 that several Ford SUVs are part of a recall due to a potentially dangerous structural issue. "Parts that detach from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash,” warns Transport Canada. A total of 20,521 Ford Escape SUVs are included in the recall and affect vehicles with the model years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2025. "Ford Motor Company of Canada Limited and Transport Canada work together to proactively identify areas of concern through investigation of consumer and dealer feedback," states the site.
