Open Extended ReactionsThe Atlanta Falcons fired coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot on Sunday night after two straight disappointing seasons. Meanwhile, the Falcons' overhaul extended to the front office, where Greg Beadles was elevated from team president to president and CEO, succeeding Rich McKay. But the Falcons did not post a winning record once in Fontenot's five-year tenure and were 16-18 under Morris in his two seasons. But Smith's Falcons went 7-10 in each of his three seasons, and Smith was fired after the 2023 season, with Morris tabbed to replace him. Morris' only previous experience as a head coach was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011.
