But the Falcons did not post a winning record once in Fontenot's five-year tenure and were 16-18 under Morris in his two seasons. But Smith's Falcons went 7-10 in each of his three seasons, and Smith was fired after the 2023 season, with Morris tabbed to replace him. Morris' only previous experience as a head coach was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011.
