The first featured the Atlanta Hawks sending star point guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert.
On Tuesday, the Utah Jazz acquired Jaren Jackson Jr. from the Memphis Grizzlies in an eight-player swap that included three future firsts.
We'll see whether the Grizzlies can pull off something similar by developing the young players they got in this trade.
By sending out Niang's expiring contract and Anderson's nonguaranteed $9.6 million salary, the Jazz go from having somewhere in the ballpark of $55 million to spend this summer to likely staying over the cap.
Before, accomplishing that might have required shedding Hunter's full $23.3 million salary, which was too big for any team to take into cap space or a trade exception.
