A winter storm blew an unexpected visitor from the south into a backyard in New Bedford, Massachusetts—a purple gallinule (Porphyrio martinica). Upon seeing this unique bird, an unidentified woman called the New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
