It’s been five long years since Snail Mail released an album.
But the wait is over: Lindsey Jordan is back with Ricochet, out March 27 via Matador.
“And the sound of your name/Brings down the perennial rain,” Jordan sings, before the track erupts into a blissful “nah-nah-nah” singalong.
“We shot the video for ‘Dead End’ in random places all around rural North Carolina between the hours of 5 p.m. and 4 a.m. on one of the coldest nights of my life,” she said.
She wrote the album in the midst of moving from New York City to North Carolina, and recorded it in both of these places, alongside producer and Momma bassist Aron Kobayashi Ritch.
