Toronto has been home to many ski (and, more recently, snowboard) hills over the generations, but as of the mid-2020s, there is only one official ski slope left in the city. The Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre at Earl Bales Park is the only existing ski facility within the 416, following the 2021 demise of Centennial Park's now-closed slopes. What it does have is a beginner hill (colloquially, the bunny hill) with a rope tow, a main hill with three runs served by a four-seat chairlift (offering some spectacular views of the North York skyline), a ski chalet, and washrooms. Here's what it's like to spend a day at Toronto's only ski hill. The ski season at Earl Bales Park kicked off earlier in January and runs until mid-March, weather permitting.
