<figure> <img alt="" src="https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/pCBjEhLs5ORnnMQA5RX1uT0UI14=/0x136:1088x952/1310x983/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/73905085/.jpg.8.jpeg" /> </figure> <p>The National Magazine Awards have recognized Eater in the categories of General Excellence, Lifestyle Journalism, and Service and Lifestyle Design</p> <p id="BEO2t7">The finalists for the <a href="https://asme.memberclicks.net/asme-announces-national-magazine-awards-2025-finalists">2025 National Magazine Awards</a>, named by the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME), were announced on Thursday, and Eater was recognized in three categories. </p> <p id="on6ZRg">For the third year in a row, Eater was nominated for <strong>General Excellence, Service and Lifestyle</strong>, alongside Esquire, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and Saveur. This is Eater’s fourth time being nominated in the category, and Eater is the only repeat nominee from last year.</p> <p id="m7ComP">Eater’s <a href="https://www.eater.com/2024/5/14/24150515/fast-food-restaurants-chains-america-dining">Welcome to the Chainification of America</a> editorial project was named a finalist in two categories: <strong>Lifestyle Journalism </strong>and <strong>Best Service and Lifestyle Design</strong>.<strong> </strong>This is the second year in a row Eater’s design has been recognized by ASME; in 2024, <a href="https://www.eater.com/23598450/malls-restaurants-shopping-fast-food-chains">Mall Food Madness</a>, a package on mall dining culture, was a finalist for Best Digital Design. </p> <p id="MdTevJ">Eater won National Magazine Awards in 2016 for <a href="https://www.eater.com/2017/6/27/15877108/where-to-eat-disney-best-food-orlando">the Eater Guide to Surviving Disney World</a>, in 2017 for <a href="https://www.eater.com/2016/10/19/13237044/the-eater-guide-to-paris">the Eater Guide to Paris</a>, and in 2022 for <a href="https://www.eater.com/22434488/best-gas-station-food-in-america-road-trip-snacks-regional-chains">Filling Up</a>, an exploration of food and dining culture across America’s gas stations.</p> <p id="cGGUzA">The 2025 ASME award winners will be announced on Thursday, April 10. </p> <p id="urY30P"></p>
