We spent time vetting and testing popular ice machines from brands like GE and Frigidaire, evaluating their production levels, quality, efficiency, and ease of use. He's owned portable ice cube makers, scooped pounds of ice out of commercial machines as a waiter, and learned the value of nugget ice from living in the Midwest for nearly two decades. To recommend the best ice makers, we compared the daily ice output, size, durability, and price of each machine, as well as the type of ice produced. In addition to our tested models, we also researched and analyzed other ice makers based on customer reviews and product specifications to find other top-performing versions. We’ve selected a few additional recommendations that while they haven’t been personally tested, we rate highly for their reliability, ice types, and features.
